Hair Color And Toning On Fine Hair

Light pastels and Icy Lavender’s are all the preferences now with young women. Balayage is the form and technique for hair-color also.  This model had a very dark base color, and she wears her hair in a trendy style.  Her wish was to go as light as possible and have a very cool tone to the hair.

I used a 20 and 30 volume bleach lightener to get the level of lightness desire for the client. Now the hair texture was fine and she did lose hair.  But at a moderate level.  After the completion of the lightening service a went ahead and shaped the hair for her. She likes one side shaved. After which I used a level 9 Blue Violet toner for her hair. And we let that process for 10 to 20 minutes.  The hair was shampooed and a FROST Toner was applied.  The hair was styles in curls as she wished.

Hair Color Before And After Part Two

Two weeks ago I made a blog on my model who is having hair color correction. The other day we went to work on the hair by adding low lights to the hair color to start giving it a fall color and added dimension. Which it lacked.  We added low lights to the hair which was in the level seven family and also added a ash color to complement it. We have finally cancelled out all of the yellow in her hair. The next appointment will be for highlights. To soften the dark root color.  I gave the client a bottle of Frost hair color toner to use every week. This will keep her hair color on mark and will stop all fading of it also.

This toner is used for pre-lightened hair. It’s a great hair product that won’t damage your hair! It actually restores the pH balance of your hair and makes it oh so soft. It improves the quality and shine of your hair while soothing your scalp all at the same time!!

Shine Nectar For My Photo-Shoot Model

Over the weekend I had a photo-shoot with a very talented model who came down from Michigan. She had ethnic Hair and I wanted separation and shine to the hair for this photo-shoot. I used Shine Nectar from Jack Winn.  For separation and shine. The product did not weight the hair down at all. Nor did it make it greasy. Very easy to work with. The product had a very light scent to it.  A clean scent. Lovely. Great for styling the hair and for shine.

The makeup for this photo-shoot was MAC Makeup. Location of this photo-shoot was in Orlando, Florida.

Restore Hair Color With Highlights By Jack Wynn

The model above requested a beige blonde hair color and medium blonde low-lights. I started with a new hair color line called Jack Wynn for the process.  This is a new line I will be using in the future for my clients and photo-shoot models. I started of with the Brilliant Lightener and did a basic foil wrap to the clients wish’s.

Processed the service with a level 6-Gold low-light formula with 10 volume developer for deposit only. Below is the RAW finish. I did not get a lot of breakage with the lightener.  So all went well with the process.

The next step was to all a more natural tone to the hair color process. I used a 9.13 from the Jack Wynn Restore Demi-Permanent line and followed manufacturers advice and mixed it with 1-1.5 developer which was 3%.  Customer was happy.

Design Spray 9 Great For Thermal Styling

Setting the hair and preparing for a photo-shoot is important. You need to place a buffer on the hair from the heat of thermo styling tools. Especially if the hair is blonde. Blonde hair is lightened to the highest levels and will often break if the heat of a styling tool is set too high. Temperature is very important when curling the hair and straightening the hair. I like to use a light weight hair spray for buffering the hair when styling and also light weight enough for working with the hair.

Try using the Kenra Design Spray 9 for your styling aids. It is a very light weight product and also is good for working with the hair and styling it in place. But not strong enough for a firm hold.

Tames frizz & flyaways, Lightweight, brush-able formula, Provides enhanced definition for moveable styles. One side sprayed with the styling spray the other with nothing. As you can see you get a smooth non flyaway finish.

Redken Hair Color Change For Fall

This Model was prepared for her Photo-Shoot this week and requested a deeper color all over. I also suggested that it would be a good idea since the hair was dry and brittle from constant overlapping and flat ironing.  When ever you use a curling iron or flat iron. Always prep the hair with a styling lotion and dry all of the hair thoroughly. Section your hair and curl or straighten it and use a dry hair spray on each section to protect it.  Don’t use any products with moisture in it.

A level 4.3 and 6.4 was mixed for the new-growth and also the same formula for the mid shaft and ends of the hair. With varying developer strengths. Shea Moisture Cosmetics was used to wash and condition the hair. And for styling the hair. Excellent product to work with. There was no color gloss’s added to the hair of the completion of the permanent hair color service.  Mac Makeup was used for her Photo-Shoot.  The Photo-Shoot was held on Melbourne Beach Florida.

Argan Oil & Raw Shea Body Wash Great For The Beach

Going to the beach you need to place this product in your bag to use to wash up. Shea moisture as I have said before is a wonderful product for all hair types and there body wash is also a excellent product.  Shea Moisture’s Argan Oil & Raw Shea Body Wash cleanses, repairs and softens dry, rough skin. Helps prevent early signs of aging. Made with natural and certified organic ingredients.  And when the product says it cleans it cleans. This body wash has a nice, subtle, clean smell and will get the sand away from your body. And also the product is good for home use. I like going out to dinner after the beach so I go to the showers and use the travel size and just wash up. A nice clean feeling this product will leave you.

Apply to washcloth or hands, create a rich lather and cleanse entire body. Or, add a capful to warm water to create a spa bath. Either way it will definitely clean you up.
