Shea Moisture Detangler

Going to the beach or just combing out your hair after a shower can be at times painful to others. I recently bought a new product called Coconut and Hibiscus Detangler from Shea Moisture.  Which I took to the beach and my wife loved it. Since she has very curly hair she needs to be able to not let it dry with all the salt water in it. In this it will make it quit hair and breakable.

Though the product is made for kids everyone can use this product with great success. It came in a large 12oz bottle and a sprayer attached to apply to the hair.

It’s time to show those nagging curls their right place, it’s time for Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Kids Extra Moisturizing Detangler. This hair care product is nothing short of a magic potion that will bring bounce and life back in your child’s hair!
An absolute must have hair moisturizer from Shea Moisture, this nourishing detangler contains certified organic Shea Butter, which is essential in keeping hair frizz-free and soft as silk. Slippery Elm Extract makes hair smooth to touch while Coconut Oil hydrates, and helps in defining curls. It also contains Hibiscus Flower Extracts to add luster and volume to hair, giving those kiddie curls extra bounce!
Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus Kids Extra Moisturizing Detangler protects and moisturizes hair from roots to ends. Its natural ingredients make it completely safe for use by children of all age groups. Apply sparingly on wet or dry hair and watch as this product weaves its magic to transform your child’s wavy, curly hair to beautiful, frizz-free, glossy curls!

Give it a try everyone its great and it is also good as a cutting solution.

A Treatment Recipe For The Beach.

Smoothing the hair in Florida is a gift if you can to it right. Using a lot of products is not good for your hair in the summer time in Florida, just a smoothing lotion and maybe an added leave-in conditioner will do the job.

I have tried a combination of products from line by Shear Moisture. To use as a treatment at the beach. Combine Shea Moisture Leave-In Conditioner with Restore Styling Lotion in the palms of your hands and work through damp hair. Saturate the hair from scalp to ends, and then pin-up or place it in a twist.

Shea Moisture Styling Lotion and Leave in Conditioner have Shea Butter, Black Castor Oil and a delightful fresh Peppermint scent to all the products. With the heat of the sun this will warm up the recipe and give you a lovely treatment for your hair.

When you are finished at the beach simply shampoo out of the hair, and then reapply the recipe for a wonderful smooth blow-dry style. It’s a win recipe. Try It.

Balayage Hair Color In Orlando

In the modern world of hair coloring balayage has become the norm throughout the fashion industry, and cosmetic industry. There are still a generation or two left who prefer the foil highlight system of hair coloring. But now with the onset of hair painting, balayage this is not something new at all.  Though the younger generation thinks its new it is not. Balayage was introduced a long time ago since the 1920’s when a hairdresser just painted dimensions in their base color applications. During the 1920’s and throughout the 1940’s bleaching became the newest form of hair coloring. All over bleaching or hair painting on top of colors were being introduced in the cosmetic industry.

Such a new technique to complement a new color or refresh an older form of color placement. And basically that is all it is.  Recreating a beach look or a new form of regrowth. All is good and the customers love it!  Finding the right products to use is an endeavor in itself. You are merely fighting the air around you to keep the hair color processing. Keeping the hair color product moist is the trick in the lifting process of the service.  I like using a clear plastic wrap to keep the hair color moist and also using cotton strips to keep my sections separated when using the balayage techniques.

Clear Plastic Wrap

Cotton Strips I love to use to keep my sections divided and for a nice clean application to the regrowth.  Separation is the key for me.

Tools of my trade. I love them!

My Favorite Lighteners Redken, I thought I would share this with everyone. But the most important idea I would like to share is do your own techniques, don’t copy others. This way will only make you a copy-write do your own original designs.

Summertime Hair color Advice

Haircolorinorlando.com

When summertime rolls around it is easy to get caught up in the toasty warmth of the sun and forget to adequately protect your hair. Here’s how you can take care of your hair even on the sunniest of the spring and summer days!

Put a cover-up… on your hair
The biggest summer haircare mistake is over-exposure to the sun. If your hair is highlighted, the sun will accelerate the lightening process, which can fry the hair a bit. Take care to wear summer hats.  Especially when just walking on the beach. Dark hair will also lighten in the sun, although it will more likely go through more brassy or red tone stages. So the same rules apply for keeping the hair out of direct sunlight for too long.

Take a cold plunge when shampooing
Choosing the temperature of the water you use to shampoo should mimic the rules of doing laundry  the colder the water the more artificial hair color will hold to the hair! At least one shot of cold water at the end of your shower makes your hair shinier because it seals the cuticle — colder water is never a bad idea.

Switch your shampoo: During the summer months use more moisturizing or light shampoos. In hotter climates the key word is MOISTURE. Make sure you are using products that will give your strands more moisture and cleanse the hair more gently so sun exposed strands won’t dry out.

Opt for products with silicone’s: Hair tends to be more moisture deprived in the summer. Silicone’s are great for sealing moisture into hair strands.

Set your hair for a new look: You want to take a break from chemical and heat application in the summer when your hair is exposed to dryer temperatures. Try braiding or twisting the hair to give it a wave or crimp. Is your hair relaxed or straight? Set your hair with a light setting foam to give your straight hair some volume, texture and flavor.

Deep condition more often: Make sure you are using deep conditioners for your hair to restore proteins to your strands for strength and to replenish moisture. Deep conditioning requires using a plastic wrap or a plastic cap to allow the conditioner to penetrate your hair strands.

Summer Time Beach Hair

IMG_0629 en tant qu'objet dynamique - 1 copie

Follow these tips and instructions for you wonderful summer time enjoyment. Whether if you are at the beach or on vacation. Here is some really good advice for your artificial hair color!

Wash your hair immediately after swimming with a conditioning shampoo. If you  can’t wash your hair immediately, at least rinse your hair in the shower to  remove the chlorine or salt water.

After you shampoo, squeeze excess water from your hair and apply a thick,  moisturizing conditioner through your hair, concentrating on the ends. Some  companies manufacture specific shampoos and conditioners for swimmers that are  designed to remove chlorine, but regular hair products formulated for dry hair and chemically treated hair can also easily do the job for you!

Rinse the conditioner from your hair and squeeze excess water from your hair.  Dry your hair gently with a towel, and always make sure you comb out the hair with a wide tooth comb. I recommend a wooden comb, plastic combs will create snarls in the hair.

Apply some Shea Butter, or Cholesterol through your hair especially if it is colored treated. Concentrate on the ends of the hair and then work the product up the shaft of the hair.

If you dry your hair with a hair dryer, use the lowest heat setting possible, especially if the hair is fine and foiled highlighted. Blonde hair needs low temperature settings, or it will break if the air from the blow dryer is too high.

Apply cholesterol or Shea butter treatment to your hair once a week if you  swim often. This can help protect your hair from the ongoing effects of repeated  exposure to chlorine or salt water. You can apply this to the hair and let it stay on for 2-3 hours then shampoo off.

Hair Dressing Tips For a Bikini Model

Depending on the photo shoot, your hair and make-up can range from bare and flat, to colorful and volumized. You want to deliver the best results as a model, and that includes knowing what is right and what is wrong for each type of photo shoot. As a model you should know the necessary tools and tips for your hair and make-up. For a bikini model, the best approach to your hair and make-up is to keep your look clean, fresh and simple.

When it comes to your hair, you want to have that slightly curly and the “next-day” messy look. To get the tousled look, you want your waves to appear silky, you can achieve this by applying a dime size amount of smoothing serum through your dry hair before you style your hair. Use a 2″ curling iron, and loosely curl your hair and lightly tease your hair at the roots. You just want to create the wispy vibe, not full on curls. For the next-day messy look, there are two tips you can use to get the results you need. Take a shower right before you go to bed and comb your hair out to detangle it.

After you have done this, you can part your hair in the center of your head, and pull your hair back into a low bun and go to sleep. When you wake up and take down your hair, you will have relaxed and refined waves. Another way is to spray texturizer onto your dry hair. After you applied the texturizer, scrunch up your ends to help build messy volume. Once you have styled your hair, make sure you spray your hair with a flexible hairspray. You want to maintain the wispy look without sacrificing its naturalness. If you have difficulty thinking of how to do your hair, just glance inside a Victoria’s Secret catalog to get a push in the right direction.

When you have problems trying to create the perfect bikini model look, think of the beach. Close your eyes and envision the beach, imagine you’re walking on the beach, feel the sand beneath your feet. Notice the people as you walk by them. Do they wear bright lipstick colors? Do they have a crazy eye shadow color on? Simply think of how you would go to the beach if you were with friends or by yourself. You want to create the feeling of being on the beach or by the pool.

You want the consumer to imagine that that’s how they can look in the bikini. If you have big curls in your hair and bright red lips, it will be harder for people to imagine themselves as you. The purpose of a bikini model, other than selling the swimsuit, is to make the consumer want to be you. They want to look as sexy as you do on the beach or while laying by the pool. Remember you want to look sexy but RELATABLE! Do this and you will achieve that sexy beach look, and have an amazing shoot.
