Go To A Professional Hairdresser!

A new customer contacted me from my website josephkellner.com

She asked me could she make an appointment and she did. Her hair color was 70% grey and on a level 5-6 on the warm side.  The rest of her hair from mid-shaft to ends was a dirty blonde and very, very dry. Her hair was naturally wavy and with medium thickness. She asked me to cancel out the red base she got from using a product recommended for her hair to lift and tone to a level 6 cool. I believe that when a person goes into a store such as Sally’s you don’t get a professional answer. For one thing the clerks are paid horribly and usually they are a beauty school drop out. So having said that I told her I could do the job. for her and this would be a corrective hair color service. $$$$ Here we go.

Simply starting with just a simple foil highlight to help reduce the red copper on her roots, and also touching the past foil highlight she had done. I used also a low light indiscriminately all over which was a level 7 neutral. Finishing the foil light I proceeded to place a level 7-8 blue-green on the roots and the new growth of the hair. Mind you she was a home hair-color job, where she got the color and advice from a sally’s employee. I processed the hair for 35 minutes.

We proceeded to cut the hair a good amount, and then we did our blow out. I recommended the Shea Moisture Shampoo to her for her hair type and condition.

DRY, DAMAGED OR TRANSITIONING HAIR
Our Sulfate-Free shampoo helps to give moisture to dry damaged or over-processed hair. Perfect for transitioning chemically treated hair to natural. So the customer was happy and make sure if you go to Sally’s don’t ask a clerk about hair color.  Go to a professional Hairdresser!

Great Formula For Blow Drying And Glamour Sets

Joseph Kellner

Every Friday in the salon after 3:00 in the afternoon, I have a promotion called, “Bring Your Black Dress And I Will Do The Rest:. This promotion is for the lady’s who will be going out to Black Tie, Private Party’s, and Charity Events.

The client will come in with their gowns or dress’ and I will style or set and do their make up. It is quit popular and allows me to try out different formula’s for the setting or styling of the hair. And also new and popular makeup products. Very popular service, which we have extended to Saturdays after 3:00 in the afternoon.  The last few weeks I have been using a formula with KIN Cosmetics which has given me success.  I have taken a quarter size of the KINSTYLE GELLIN with a quarter size of the KINSTYLE POTION CREAM and WELLAH! I have achieve a sculpting lotion similar to the Paul Mitchel sculpting lotion when it first came out. Excellent hold and will not leave the hair rough or dry feeling. If you are setting the hair you will bet a lot of volume and the wave will stay in for a long time. This product formulation will compliment the hair design.  This is a great setting formula and also for everyday blow drying the hair. I have used the Potion Creme by itself and I was not so convinced about it on fine hair, and a tip don’t get it near the roots. Just the mid shaft and ends. Potion Creme will give you a soft feel and a decent finish but adding the two products together is a winner.  I am not really one to add and add products to a finish. I believe a lot of your work should be in the hair design, if the design is accurate then you will not need a lot of finishing products. But these two products together and you have hit a Grand Slam. Also when you add the irons to the hair you will see tremendous shine.
