Hands down BOOST & HOLD Hair Spray is better than anything in the beauty industry. Giving me the confidence of a root volumizer and a workable hair spray. I recommend this for any editorial stylist on a location photo shoot for  all of your modeling work. I have had  no problems of clogging and the amount dispersed is a good measure. Being it is a aerosol spray I can also use it for sets, curling iron sets, and also flat iron sets. The product is not gummy or hard to work with. A very natural hold to the hair.  The product is good for all hair types and will give you a workable hold. The product comes in a 7oz metal container and is priced a lot more affordable at $15.00 than any other product sold in salons. You can definitely rely on this product. Hands down a winner.

1000x1000 (3)This will definitely be used at the Joseph Kellner Salon.

I get a lot of question from clients who will ask me in the salon during their appointment. ‘Is it better to flat-iron the hair with a hair spray?”

I recommend using hair spray on the hair when using a flat-iron or a curling iron. Preferably an aerosol type of spray. I have found that the use of a pump-action spray has too much “Gum” and also too much “Water” in the product. Also a lot of consumers need to know that the temperature of the flat-iron and also the curling iron should fluctuate during the straightening process and also the curling process. You should not use a high temperature on blonde hair that is artificially lightened. Especially when bleach has been used. Thick coarse hair will need a higher temperature when curling the hair. And hair that has been lightened with a bleach should need to have extra attention to it when curling.  Pre-lightened or bleached hair should also have some type of spray added to the section before curling. Make sure your sections are of the same size. A thicker section will give you a looser curl. If that is what you want. When you are finished styling the hair also always use a light condition cream throughout the hair for added softness. This will take away from the crispness of the hair spray. But the hair spray will also give you a firmer hold to the hair.
