Makeup setting spray is very important when doing editorial, weddings, outside photography. If you are on a schedule you really don’t have time to touch-up makeup other than lipstick and mascara fly away”s. I have used MAC FIX +STAY which is a very good product. And I normally rely on MAC products. But I thought I would try NYX FINI MAT Spray. The product dried the makeup almost instantly and sett in place during the whole photo-shoot. Amazing. The model above said she had no problem removing the product. Matte Finish Setting Spray is a breathable formula that controls shine perfect for oily skin types. The product helps keep your makeup in place for up to 16 hours. This lightweight, water-based setting spray contains niacin amide. And upon spraying it will set your makeup instantly matte, and light-weight.

Does Oily Skin Need Moisturizing

Knowing your skin type can make all the difference to how long your makeup lasts. A lot of my clients think when they have oily skin that there is no need to moisturize/prime, this is far from the truth! Our natural environment can dry out the skin so if it has no protective layer the dryness can produce even more oil because your skin is trying to fix the problem, therefore you can end up getting even oilier.

It all depends on what you use – opting for a light weight moisturizer will soothe the skin and protect it, creating a lovely canvas for foundations and concealers. I love the Clinique Moisture Surge because its a gel like form and absorbs right into the skin. Refreshing oil-free gel-cream penetrates deep, lasts 100 hours. Locks in moisture for an endlessly plump, dewy glow. Use morning and night on clean skin or use over makeup as a dewy highlighter. Can also be used as a 5-minute mask. In regards to primer use one for your skin type. Its okay to use different primers on different areas of the face for those who are more combination…for example if you get an oily t-zone but dry cheeks use a matte primer in the oily areas and a hydrating one on the rest of the skin.
