One thing you don’t want during your photo-shoot is have your lipstick move all over. And when you place your lipstick on, just like when you prime your face for your foundation. You must prep your lips. MAC Prep and Prime Lip is what I would recommend and go to for all my photo-shoots. A color free base to wear under lipstick. Adds light moisture, smooths and refines the lips. Improves the appearance of applied lip products.
There is no greasy feel to the product and just apply it while you are doing your foundation and then just gently pat your lips before applying your lip color.
- Reduces lipstick feathering
- Provides long-term hydration
- Fragrance-free
- Oil-free
- Dermatologist tested
A lot of woman will place a chap stick on there lips to prime them. Which is a NO-NO. This will give you a oily appearance even when you pat the chap stick off. And the lipstick will not adhere to the lips. Don’t try this method use a primer. Another way of taking of dry flakes from the lips is use some scotch tape to the lips and this will also gently pull off the flaky skin. Also if you use a dark colored lipstick to dry lips, it will appear darker in certain areas because of flaking. So always use a primer for the lips. This will also hydrate the lips also.
- Apply a thin coating over entire lip area and over lip edges.
- Follow with lip color.
- If desired, line lips.
